If you have a long weekend and want the very best of the valley without rushing, this Kashmir Tour 3N/4D is built for you. Over four days you settle into Srinagar beside the Dal Lake, glide across the meadows of Gulmarg on the famous Gondola, and follow the Lidder river into Pahalgam. Happy Jacks handles every drive, stay and permit so you simply enjoy shikara rides, Mughal gardens, alpine views and warm Kashmiri hospitality. It is a compact, well-paced route that suits families, couples and first-time visitors who want the classic highlights in one smooth loop. Comfortable transport, handpicked stays and a local team that knows every turn of the road make this short trip feel unhurried and complete.
You land at Srinagar airport where our driver meets you and transfers you to your houseboat or hotel near the Dal Lake. After settling in, head out for the Mughal gardens: Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh with their terraced lawns, and Chashme Shahi. Round off the day with a relaxed shikara ride on the Dal as the light softens over the water.
After breakfast you drive roughly two hours to Gulmarg, one of the valley's most loved meadows. Ride the Gondola cable car towards Apharwat and Khilanmarg for sweeping mountain views, and walk the famous green expanses past the Golf Course. In the colder months this is prime snow and skiing country. You return to Srinagar by evening for your overnight stay.
Today you travel south to Pahalgam, following the Lidder river through saffron fields and orchards along the way. Pahalgam is the gateway to Betaab Valley, Aru Valley and Chandanwari, reached by local union taxi. Spend your time by the river, walk the pine trails and soak in the calm of this hill town before checking in for the night at Pahalgam.
Enjoy a slow morning in Pahalgam, then drive back towards Srinagar. Depending on your flight, you can stop for a last look at Hazratbal shrine or climb to the Shankaracharya viewpoint over the city, or pick up saffron, walnuts and pashmina as gifts. Our driver drops you at Srinagar airport in good time for your onward journey home.
