FAQ

Where exactly is the houseboat located?

Your houseboat is moored on Dal Lake in Srinagar, reached by a short shikara ride from the ghat. It sits close to the Mughal gardens, Hazratbal and the Old City, so most sightseeing is a short drive away.

Is the houseboat suitable for families and couples?

Yes. Houseboats have private attached rooms, a sitting lounge and a deck, which works well for both couples wanting a quiet stay and families travelling together. We can arrange adjoining rooms for larger groups on request.

What is the best time to book this package?

Dal Lake is beautiful year round. Spring and summer bring lush gardens and pleasant days, autumn offers golden chinar colours, and winter is quiet and crisp. Tulip season in early spring around Srinagar is especially popular, so book well ahead.

Are shikara rides included or paid separately?

The daily transfers between the ghat and your houseboat and one dedicated sunrise shikara ride are included. Extra leisure rides across the lake can be arranged on the spot and are charged separately.

How do I confirm my booking with Happy Jacks?

Call us on +91-9419244962 or email info@happyjacks.co.in with your dates and group size. We confirm your houseboat category, share the payment details, and take care of every transfer once you arrive in Srinagar.
