Yes, with sensible planning. Phase 1 of the Gondola is a gentle ride. Phase 2 to Apharwat climbs to close to 4,000 m, where thin air and cold can be hard on small children, elders and anyone with heart or breathing conditions, so many families skip it. In winter, hire snow boots and jackets at Tangmarg or Gulmarg, keep children’s hands and feet dry, and take breaks indoors. Package prices are per person on twin sharing, so two adults pay twice the per person rate, and children are priced by age and whether they need an extra bed.
