Happy Jacks runs Kashmir tour packages for travellers flying in from every major Indian city, because Kashmir has no direct rail link of its own; almost everyone arrives through Srinagar Airport (SXR) and we take it from there. Packages start at Rs 15,999 per person for a short valley trip and run up to full 6N/7D family and honeymoon itineraries. Below, find your city, the usual route in, the package that fits the time you have, and what it costs.
| Nearest airport | Srinagar Airport (SXR) – the only airport serving the Kashmir valley |
| Nearest railhead (if travelling by train) | Jammu Tawi / Katra, then a 6-8 hour road transfer we arrange |
| Typical trip length | 4 to 7 days is enough to cover Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam |
| Package price range | Rs 15,999 to Rs 33,500 per person, depending on duration and hotel category |
| Best months | April to June (spring), September to November (autumn), December to February (snow) |
| Booking | WhatsApp +91 94192 44962 or call the same number; confirmed with a partial advance |
Unlike a hill station you can drive to, Kashmir sits at the northern tip of India with the Pir Panjal range between it and the rest of the country. The practical way in is a flight to Srinagar, so the real planning questions are always: which flight route works from my city, how many days should I block off including travel, and does the package already include the airport pickup. That is what the sections below answer city by city.
Delhi has the most frequent direct flights to Srinagar of any Indian city, typically 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes in the air, with multiple daily departures across airlines. Because the flight is short, even a 4 day / 3 night Kashmir Fun package is workable over a long weekend. For a first-timer we usually recommend our 5D/4N Kashmir Fun Tour covering Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam, from Rs 15,999 per person.
Mumbai connects to Srinagar either on a direct flight (seasonal, roughly 2.5 to 3 hours) or a one-stop routing via Delhi (around 4 to 5 hours door to door). Most Mumbai travellers we host prefer the Kashmir Family Tour (7D/6N) so the long travel day is worth it, from Rs 24,725 per person including cab, hotel and daily breakfast/dinner.
Bangalore to Srinagar is a one-stop flight, usually via Delhi, and takes about 4 to 5 hours total including the layover. Because it is a longer haul, we steer Bangalore travellers toward a minimum 5N/6D itinerary (our Couple/Group tour, from approximately Rs 33,500 per couple) rather than a short 3-day dash that burns most of the trip in transit.
Hyderabad to Srinagar is typically a one-stop connection (via Delhi), around 4 to 5 hours total. A 5D/4N to 6N/7D package suits Hyderabad best; our Kashmir Adventure Tour (4D/3N) works only if you are extending with a Ladakh add-on, otherwise the 6N/7D Family Tour gives better value for the flight time invested.
Chennai is one of the longer routes, generally a one-stop flight via Delhi running 4.5 to 5.5 hours. Given the distance, we recommend booking at least a 6N/7D package and flying in a day early where possible, so a flight delay does not eat into valley time.
Kolkata to Srinagar usually connects through Delhi, roughly 4 to 5 hours total travel time. Kolkata travellers often combine Kashmir with a short Vaishno Devi detour via Jammu; ask us and we will slot it into a 7 or 8 day itinerary without adding a separate booking.
Pune to Srinagar connects via Delhi or Mumbai, around 4 to 5 hours including the layover. Our Kashmir Family Tour (7D/6N, from Rs 24,725) is the most booked package out of Pune, since it comfortably covers Srinagar’s Dal Lake, Gulmarg’s gondola and Pahalgam’s Betaab Valley without rushing.
Ahmedabad has some of the more convenient western-India connections to Srinagar, often a single stop of 2.5 to 3.5 hours. This makes even our shorter 3D Pahalgam-only package (from Rs 11,999) realistic for a long weekend, though most Ahmedabad guests extend to 5 days to add Gulmarg.
Surat travellers typically connect via Mumbai or Delhi, around 4 to 5 hours total. We recommend the 5D/4N Kashmir Fun Tour (from Rs 15,999) as the sweet spot for Surat groups wanting Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam in one trip without a second layover on the way back.
Jaipur to Srinagar generally routes through Delhi, adding up to about 3 to 4 hours including the connection. Given the short overall travel time, Jaipur travellers can comfortably do our 4D/3N Kashmir Adventure Tour or extend to 6N/7D for a fuller family trip.
Lucknow connects to Srinagar via Delhi, roughly 3.5 to 4.5 hours total. It is close enough that we regularly host Lucknow families on our 6N/7D package who add a day trip to Sonmarg on top of the standard Gulmarg-Pahalgam circuit.
Indore to Srinagar is a one-stop route via Delhi, generally 4 to 5 hours. We suggest booking at least 5 nights so the travel day does not dominate a short trip; our Kashmir Fun Tour and Family Tour both work well for Indore groups.
Nagpur connects via Delhi or Mumbai, typically 4 to 5 hours total. Central-India travellers from Nagpur most often book our 6N/7D Family package to justify the connecting flight with a full valley circuit.
Vadodara to Srinagar usually connects through Delhi or Mumbai, around 3.5 to 4.5 hours. This is short enough that even our compact Gulmarg short-stay package (from Rs 13,999) is a realistic long-weekend option from Vadodara.
Kochi is one of the farthest feeder cities, generally a one-stop connection of 6 to 7 hours. We recommend a minimum 6N/7D trip for Kochi travellers, and suggest flying a day ahead of your planned itinerary start so a delayed connection does not cost you valley time.
Coimbatore to Srinagar typically involves a one-stop routing of around 6 to 7 hours. As with Kochi, we build in a buffer day for Coimbatore bookings and recommend our full 6N/7D or 5N/6D itineraries rather than a short trip.
Visakhapatnam connects via Delhi or Hyderabad, generally 5 to 6 hours total. Given the distance, most Vizag travellers we host book the 6N/7D Family Tour or the Honeymoon package (3N/4D core itinerary, extendable) rather than a short 3-day visit.
Guwahati to Srinagar usually connects through Delhi or Kolkata, around 5 to 6 hours total. For Northeast India travellers, we recommend at least 6 nights so the long flight is balanced by enough time actually in the valley.
Flights to Srinagar, personal shopping, and activity tickets (gondola, shikara, skiing) are usually extra and quoted separately, since not every traveller wants the same activities.
Message +91 94192 44962 on WhatsApp with your city, travel dates and group size. We reply with two or three itinerary options at different price points, confirm your pickup flight or train, and lock the booking with a partial advance. No agent visit or office walk-in is required; the whole process runs over WhatsApp and a phone call if you prefer to talk it through.
Kashmir has no railway into the valley itself. You can take a train to Jammu Tawi or Katra and we will arrange a road transfer of roughly 6 to 8 hours into Srinagar, but flying is faster and is what most of our guests choose.
Delhi, at roughly 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes, followed by other North and West India cities such as Jaipur and Ahmedabad that often connect with only one stop.
We recommend a minimum of 6 nights when flying from South India, since the connection itself can take most of a day each way; a shorter trip spends too much of your time in transit rather than in the valley.
Yes. Every Happy Jacks package includes pickup from Srinagar Airport in the vehicle specified for your group size, at no extra cost.
Yes. Tell us your total number of days when you message us and we will build a combined itinerary; Vaishno Devi adds well onto a Jammu-side route, and Ladakh extends naturally from a Kashmir trip via the Zojila route in season.
Our Kashmir Fun Tour (5D/4N) starts at Rs 15,999 per person and covers Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam with hotel, cab and daily breakfast/dinner included.
The land package price (hotel, cab, meals) stays the same regardless of your home city; only your flight cost to Srinagar varies by route, and that is booked separately from your package.
Ready to plan your Kashmir trip from wherever you are? WhatsApp +91 94192 44962 with your city and dates, and we will send you a route and an itinerary the same day.
